- "Who made the findings?" You did. The tool cannot state a finding, choose evidence, or cite anything you did not upload.

How a report gets written

Upload your file
Interview transcripts, witness statements, emails, policies, and the complaint. PDF and Word. Large files are fine; the tool reads every page and keeps the page numbers.

Search the file, read the passages the tool finds, and select the ones that count. Nothing enters the report unless you selected it. The tool never decides what is relevant.

What the AI does, and what it is not allowed to do
Most AI writing tools are built to be helpful. This one is built to be checkable. The limits are the product.

Where your file goes
Investigation files are sensitive. Here is exactly what happens to yours, in plain language. The full version is in the privacy policy.
- Stored in Canada. Your documents and reports are stored on Microsoft Azure in the Canada Central region.
- Never used to train AI. Neither we nor Microsoft use your content to train or improve any model.
- Processed by Azure OpenAI, not a consumer chatbot. Microsoft may retain prompts and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which they are deleted. We do not claim zero retention, because that would not be true.
- Deleted when you say so. Delete a report and its documents go with it. Close your account and everything is removed.
- Seen by nobody else. Your reports are visible only to your account. Goodwin staff do not read your files unless you ask for help and grant access.

Questions investigators ask
Is this legal advice?
No. Agent Goodwin drafts from your file and your selections. It does not interpret the law, and it is not a substitute for counsel. Your professional judgment and obligations stay with you.
Which jurisdictions does it cover?
It is built for Canadian workplace investigations and works from the policies and documents you upload, not from a database of law. That is deliberate: it cannot cite the wrong statute because it does not cite statutes at all.
Does it work on big files?
Yes. Files with hundreds of pages of transcripts and emails are normal. The tool indexes every page so you can search and cite by page number.
Can my colleagues use it?
The plan is for one investigator. If your team needs several seats, or a reviewer role, email us and we will set it up.
